Ocean State Cool Cities Action Center

In order to make Ocean State cities and towns "cool," we have to tackle pollution from our automobiles. While Governor Carcieri has led the state on the clean cars standards, he must invest in providing Rhode Islanders with Cool transportation choices, like public transportation. In the meantime, the Carcieri administration must continue investing in energy efficiency and renewable power to help RIde the Wave to Energy Independence.

Tell Governor Carcieri to:

  • Cut global warming pollution 2% per year
  • Promote communities that promote mass transit and bicycle commuting
  • Ensure Rhode Island's public transit system is well-funded
  • Invest in energy efficiency solutions
  • Support all large and small renewable energy projects in Rhode Island
